Over the past couple of years the demand for tutors, both face-to-face and online, has significantly increased, with many students struggling to grasp specific subjects, or aspects of subjects, hindering the development or the confidence they need in order to achieve their desired qualification / goals.

Parents and Children themselves have recognised the need for additional support and have turned to tutors to assist.

Accelerate Tutors help a variety of qualified tutors get in front of students of all ages (including adults) and abilities (KS1 through to A Level) and, therefore improving your earning potential.

Whether it’s by helping a Key Stage 3 pupil to understand maths or English or teaching an adult GCSE Maths – your role is to design and implement personalised methods of teaching, including communicating in order to allow students to improve their skills.

You have the opportunity to enhance your existing salary, or purely create an annual salary through tutoring, whilst enjoying the freedom to shape your own working hours.

As a tutor you will develop your own style and communication but some of the sessions may include:

  • Assessing learning style, ready to adopt your teaching style, bespoke to the student’s needs
  • Researching the latest syllabus and recommend the appropriate tools (such as textbooks or trusted sites)
  • The design and structure of each lesson
  • Marking work set
  • Using positive reinforcement to boost students’ confidence
  • Monitor student’s progress and report back if and when required

Be your own Boss; tuition offers the flexibility for both part time and full-time work, as a permanent or temporary role.

Ultimately, Accelerate Tutors provides you the opportunity to do what you do best, whilst reaching a brand new market.

How do I become a tutor?

Becoming a tutor with Accelerate couldn’t be easier; with our straight forward process to create and populate your profile.

Simply create your profile by clicking here, once you have submitted it for approval, we will then review it within 3 working days and will be in touch to arrange a quick Zoom introduction.

Once all checks have been completed and your profile has been approved, you will be notified and your Bio will be live on the website, visible to all students and parents.

What type of lessons do I need to offer?

The choice is yours! You could provide 1:1 private tuition sessions, either online or face-to-face  in the student’s home, or in a neutral learning space such as a library or café, or, in your own home should you wish.

Group class sessions can be offered as a great, affordable way for students to benefit from learning with peers, online or face-to-face in a number of different settings – this will be dependent on the students and where they are based.

The huge benefit of offering online  tutor sessions is that they can be held from the comfort of your own home; your pool of potential students instantly opens up right across the UK, maximising your income potential as you can virtually teach students based in any location.

What do I need to become a tutor?

Accelerate Tutors is solely for Qualified Teachers, unlike other tutor platforms and will be promoted as such.

Should you work with children then you must provide a valid Enhanced DBS which parents may wish to check.

The role of the tutor is based around knowledge of a subject but also around communication – great interpersonal skills are vital to engage, motivate, and teach students effectively.

Should you want to offer more online tutor sessions then a good laptop or computer with a camera and microphone along with a strong internet connection is highly recommended as all online sessions will be through Zoom.
